out to a little foster home , and seeing this touched everyone ’ s heart . Playing with the kids and seeing them smile was very heart warming . On the last day , when we were departing to go home , I realized it was a breeze and went by really fast , one thing i encouraged myself doing and others was too , not only serve and evangelize when we go overseas or go to mission trips , but locally here in Raleigh NC , healing this broken world . My overall experience on my mission trip to Arizona was very heart intriguing , and a notable experience . as Jesus has showed us in the Bible . Everyone worked as a team and kept the complaining to a minimum . We even got really close with Ohio team that went with us , and even though we came from different states , and had different styles of doing thing , everyone work really well together , and was very thankful for the deacons , that helped us , and prepared food for us throughout the week .
Throughout the trip I learned you have to appreciate everything you have and , everyone in your life , whether it ’ d be family , friends , mentor , teacher , neighbors , and people you don ’ t get along with well . John 13:34-35 “ A new command I give you : Love one another . As I have loved you , so you must love one another . By this everyone will know that you are my disciples , if you love one another .” Going to the trip should not be for your own personal gain or having to go just because you wanted to go for the trip , but for God and God only , wanting to serve as Jesus has served . Towards the end of the trip we got to enjoy one of God ’ s amazing creations , The Grand Canyon , one of the most if not the most beautiful sightings I ’ ve seen . Seeing God ’ s creation from being so far from home NC , I ’ ve realized God is so real , and surpasses even the Grand Canyon .
God has opened up my heart to open up to the people of Arizona , the Apache were so friendly and returned the favor of serving us the last 2-3 days , and through that I was so touched , they got out of their own way and cooked for us , and spent quality time with these people . As we also reached out to the Apache people we also reached

Merriam-Webster defines the word growth as a process of becoming better or improved in some way .

If you catch a shark it will stay a size proportional to the size of the tank that it is contained inside . A shark can be 6 inches long and be fully matured . But if you turn that same shark out into the wild , it will grow to the standard length of 8 ft or more .
That ’ s the same with Christians , if we contain them in a small puddle they will stay small . Put them into a larger arena- then they see the greatness of God .
This mission trip , I saw so much growth in everybody . Me included , we were all exposed to different stimuli that sparked a desire to serve to a greater extent . No longer were we preoccupied to look at our phones to check emails or social media , we weren ’ t worried about how we looked , who to impress , and the focus was no longer on us . The focus was on the people that we served and the God who sent us to serve the Apache people . We were exposed to a bigger tank .
For most of the members of the team , this was a larger arena that allowed them to see and experience more of the injustices of the world . They were exposed to children who were neglected by parents who were alcoholics , drug addicts , and simply didn ’ t want them . We were sent to an
