Costa Coffee, sipping hot chocolate with
rents. I intermittently switch my attention
he words of my father, the anxiety of
starting and wondering if I made the
hoice ordering hot chocolate. I look at the
ups of latte my parents have ordered. I
ack at my hot chocolate. Now I wish I had
ed a cappuccino. I don’t really want to go
o school next week. I thought sipping hot
ate would make me feel better, but now

In the afternoon I see the sun shining through
the gaps of the trees, people in front of me are
dancing and circling me. Hands held. Festivities –
a wondrous cacophony of music from
different sources.
Now I sit next to Ville on a couch, he’s playing
‘Lemon Tree’ and ‘I Shot the Sheriff’ on the electric
guitar. I feel like I’m in a foreign movie. Who knew
‘Lemon Tree’ could bond people? Music, I guess
brings people together. On the island, Ville tells us
many things about life, like how foxes who appear
calm and nice, but could really steal the pizza you
left under the sofa.
