In terms of the development of bilateral cultural and humanitarian relations, an important
role is played by partnerships between Tashkent and Berlin, Samarkand and Bremen, Bukhara
and Bon.
Germany also supports the Central Asian states in using shared water resources in an
efficient, sustainable and in a fair way. This can be confirmed by the example of a project of EU
on water management implemented in Uzbekistan. It is no secret that Germany has extensive
experience in water management. Within the framework of the EU Strategy for Central Asian
with the “Water Initiative” for the region, the sides held annually political consultations on the
development of cooperation in conflict prevention and regional development
In conclusion, I would like to note that the world community needs to pay more attention
to the reforms taking place in Central Asia.
The ability of the states of the region to work together to solve serious common problems,
opening up broad opportunities for the world and progress is the main task on the way of
maintaining peace, stability of the states of the region, their economic and sustainable
development.
Thanks for attention.
