«Hairaton–Mazari-Sharif», which is of key importance for the economy of Afghanistan.
According to experts, the implementation of this project will increase Afghanistan's trade
turnover by 50%.
Cooperation in the field of training Afghan civilian personnel can also become a promising
area of cooperation between the Central Asian countries and Germany. In this context, it is
noteworthy that Uzbekistan opened an educational center in January, in Termez city, where
Afghan youth will be trained in more than ten areas of secondary vocational education. In
addition, about 1,000 citizens of Afghanistan are trained annually in the universities of
Kazakhstan.
Undoubtedly, the priority of cooperation in the field of security between the Central Asian
States and Germany remains the intensification of work in the fight against religious
extremism, international terrorism and drug trafficking.
Unfortunately, against the background of the difficult situation in Afghanistan, the level of
the above-mentioned threats remains high.
In this regard, the participation of Germany and its assistance in obtaining various grants
and financial assistance from the EU for the implementation of projects in the above areas will
undoubtedly have a positive impact on the early stabilization of the situation in Afghanistan, as
well as to strengthen security and stability in Central Asia.
Dear participants of the conference,
In summary, I would like to emphasize that ensuring peace and stability in Central Asia is
not only in the interests of the countries of the region, but it will also contribute to the
sustainable development of the entire Eurasian continent in terms of its impact on security in
neighboring regions. In this regard, it is extremely important that Germany takes into account
new regional trends and contributes to the implementation of major projects in the fields of
transport, energy, trade, investment and high technology in Central Asia.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all fruitful work in today's event and
success in your daily activities.
Thank you for attention!
