The initiative of Shavkat Mirziyoyev also draws attention to itself, voiced at the international conference on Central Asia in Samarkand under the auspices of the United Nations, aimed at strengthening the trend of regional integration and strengthening good- neighborly relations with an emphasis on economic complementarity. In today's world, the security problems of any region cannot be considered in isolation from the issues of its e economic development. In order to deepen trade -economic ties, as well as create favorable conditions for growth of trade turnover and strengthening cooperation, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan proposed the creation of a Regional economic forum and the establishment of an Association of heads of regions and business communities of Central Asian States. The sides planned to hold the first meeting of the Regional Economic forum in Tashkent, where, along with high representatives of the Central Asian States, representatives of foreign countries and international financial institutions are expected to participate at the end of October. The effective use of the transit and logistics potential of the Central Asian States can have a significant positive impact on the sustainable development of the region. In order to advance the development of transport infrastructure in the region, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan initiated the development and adoption of a regional program for the development of transport communications. To agree on common approaches of the Central Asian countries on this issue, the international conference "Central Asia in the system of international transport corridors: strategic prospects and unrealized opportunities” will be held on September 20, in Tashkent. Security and development in Central Asia cannot be seen in isolation from Afghanistan, which is an important element of regional security. As the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted, stable and prosperous Afghanistan is the key to regional security in Central Asia.
