As the previous speakers mentioned that resolution clearly cooled on the international
community and UN agencies, funds and programs to support the Central Asian countries in
their journey to the world of greater prosperity, stability and sustainable development.
And so today’s event in which one important member of international community in the
full of the government of Germany is demonstratively showing its response to the cool
articulated General Assembly is greatly appreciated.
On the UN side we are working closely to support aims articulated in General Assembly
resolution. We are supporting environmental and water management, sub regional
cooperation, cooperation around the Aral sea, on preventing violent extremism, counter-
trafficking, the fight against drugs, transporting connectivity, supporting work in the area of
Human rights, supporting the Ombudsman offices of the countries.
That’s a short snapshot but what I’d like to say is that the UN is always keen to partner
with all of its member states, not just list most important in this region with Central Asian
governments but also with donor countries such as Germany in this partnership for
strengthening the engagement and support of Central Asian countries in sub regional
cooperation.
So thank you very much for including us today and I look forward today strong exchange
of views and further efforts to jointly show that the spirit of General Assembly resolution is
translated into practice.
Thank you.
