together with it, who gave his great charisma
and charm to his “crazed” audience so timely
that even the very idea of the movie lost color
in the face of him. Later on, Colin Firth was
never able to get rid of the character of Darcy,
and the character itself was perceived solely
as him, so initially the director tried to find
almost an identical copy of the predecessor.
Before the role was given to Matthew
Macfadyen, the film crew had performed
auditions of about 100 candidates, but
overcame the stereotypes and decided on
him. They naturally didn't regret.
As for me, when I watched both these
films I didn't note anything that would seem
unusual to me. A good half of the globe goes
mad about these actors, so what's the big
deal! I didn't pay attention to the appearance
but continued my fascinating journey deep
into the plot and the acting skills. Let us look at
the beginning of the events. Pride and

she had read, and of quiet fireside comfort,
decided to put all her love into her creation,
the novel remembered by many generations.

why not hire a team of “advanced” people
and make a high-quality movie to nominate it
for Oscar afterwards? The idea seemed
interesting at first, though quite ambitious,
because nobody wanted to see the 1995
screen version in the 2005 version. Repetition
would be possible to some extent in many
senses, if not for the brilliant cast of actors.
Many critics and script writers argued for a
long time about who would finally get the role
of the sweet, and at the same time too
straightforward and well-read for her time girl
named Lizzy Bennet. In the long run, none
other but Keira Knightley was chosen for that
role, and soon added yet another Oscar to her

performance in the screen version of Jane
Austen's novel. As for the choice of an actor
for the role of Mr. Darcy, there emerged some
complications as the 1995 screen version had
been so much liked by everyone, and Colin Firth
