WAS IT DIFFICULT TO STAND UP FOR
YOURSELF?
As Leonardo da Vinci once said: «There is no turn-
ing back if you are aiming for the stars.» Yes, it was
very diicult, but I’m still learning and working on
myself. I always set some goals for myself.
DO YOU REMEMBER YOUR FIRST
PLASTIC OPERATION EVER?
The most, I remember my very irst operation. It
was an amputation of the lower limb in the thigh.
And plastic surgery? Yes, it was a breast reconstruc-
tion on a female patient, she had lost her breast
due to cancer.
WHAT TYPE OF OPERATIONS DO YOU
PERFORM?
I perform a wide range of plastic surgeries, from
eyelid surgery, to hand surgery, to some very dif-
icult reconstructive operations. Sometimes, a col-
league from abroad asks me, if I could perform
a liposuction. Of course, I can, I always say with a
smile on my face. And I wonder why they ask? I
have come to the conclusion, that there are some
plastic surgeons abroad who specialises only in li-
posuction and breast enlargements.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY THE MOST
ABOUT YOUR WORK?
It pleases me to help people and make them hap-
py, bring them joy, make their wishes come true.
WHAT IS THE LATEST NEWS FROM
PLASTIC SURGERY YOU WOULD LIKE
TO BRING TO OUR PATIENTS?
Precisely, in plastic surgery, it is a special kind of
face-lifting and from the perspective of invasive
corrective dermatology, it is a special technique of
eyelid lifting using two-needles.
HOW DO YOU RELAx AFTER A DE-
MANDING DAY?
Mostly, I try to rest actively. My passions are sports,
dance and music. I enjoy playing tennis the most,
I love skiing with the sunshine on my back, and
in-line skating. But recently, you will most probably
see me running with a stroller on the streets.
WHAT KIND OF OPERATION IS YOUR
MOST FAVORITE ONE? WHY?
I do not have a preference for surgery. I rather pre-
fer location - I like mini-invasive and invasive facial
surgeries. My colleague and I, we brought a novelty
skin treatment to the Czech market from Confer-
ence in Monaco. In September, this solution won
the irst prize amongst Anti-aging medical prod-
ucts in Monaco. It is a unique product invented by
a group of scientists from the Swiss Hyalual Insti-
tute.
HOW DO YOU DEFINE BEAUTY?
Beauty? Um ... that’s a tough question. A person
can be beautiful both physically and mentally. No-
tice, that if a person is mentally beautiful, it relects
in their physical beauty. It is scientiically proven
that beautiful people are more successful. In the
physical beauty, a face symmetry and sex hormone
levels play the role, all this affects the attractive ap-
pearance in the face. Even babies, just a few days
old can recognize an attractive face. How do they
do it? It’s still a mystery.
WHAT DO YOU THINK MAKES A DOC-
TOR A GOOD PLASTIC SURGEON?
Patience. A sense for harmony and beauty. Skill.
And the ability of saying NO!
UNDERGOING PLASTIC SURGERY IS
STILL CONSIDERED BY SOME TO BE
AN UNNECESSARY VANITY. WHAT IS
YOUR VIEW POINT IN THIS REGARD?
Of course, you are partially right. But it’s not always
the case. I understand women and men who suf-
fer from a certain physical disability can often feel
inferior. If we can eliminate this problem, they will
become happy people with a new sense of life.

REER, IS THERE ANYTHING YOU
WOULD CHANGE?
I am a person, who does not regret any decision.
Even so, sometimes I think what other life and ca-
reer growth would I have had if I have stayed when
I was doing my professional internship with Profes-
sor Günter Germann Dr Med and had decided to
accept his offer in Heidelberg and left Prague. I do
not regret my decision. The quality of plastic sur-
gery in the Czech Republic is very high. I am very
lucky to work at the university clinic with the best
plastic surgeon MUDr. Měšťák. As Edith Piaf once
said, «Never regret anything!»
