Wine is a fascinating topic. It can also be a bit intimidating at times.
Have you ever looked at a wine list and wondered which wine is the right choice?
This column will help you break down the barriers and make the world of wine a little more navigational. The articles will discuss the different varietals, regions and styles of wine. What is the difference between “old world” and “new world”? What is Cabernet Sauvignon and why does it taste different from California than from France?
How do they make the wine pink and why are some sweet and others not?
These are some of the questions to be answered…
Each article will tackle a topic such as where the wine comes from or how varietals differ. It will discuss the origins and background of the topic as well as food pairings. The goal is to make wine friendly and approachable.
Wine can have as much influence on your palate as the choice of meat or vegetable or style of food.
