Zionsville Visitors Guide-About Town 2018 - Page 6

Zionsville’s New Town Hall Zionsville Town Hall is a model of efficiency both for municipal government and for the community. That was not the case for the old structure that was in use from 2001 until 2017. The Town of Zionsville repurposed the former Zions ville United Methodist Church for many years. The 56- year old building housed town offices and meeting spaces, but as the structure aged and the town grew the best alternative was to build a new Town Hall. On August 25, 2016, the groundbreaking ceremony was held. Finishing ahead of schedule and under budget, the new Town Hall opened in September 2017. The 42,600-square-foot building is designed with the community in mind. Visitors on the Rail Trail, directly behind Town Hall, have access to access restrooms and fill water bottles. Zionsville Town Hall meeting rooms are available to public/civic/not-for- profit groups (including HOAs) pending approval.
