After the parade down Main Street Saturday morning, the crowd heads to Lions Park for carnival games and rides, a juried arts & crafts show, food served by local restaurants and a service vendor tent. HIT THE BRICKS 8 a.m., Oct. 6 www.zionsvilleoptimist.org This 5K run/3K by the Zionsville Optimists Club walk starts at Zionsville Community High School, 1000 Mulberry St. BOONE VILLAGE HALLOWEEN PARTY Oct. 26 Kids come in full costume to trick- or-treat at this holiday event, hosted by the Boone Village Merchants. ZIONSVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT PANCAKE BREAKFAST 6 – 11 a.m., Oct. 6, Fire Station 91 www.zionsville-in.gov/town-services/ police/ The event is the department’s largest fundraiser and features firefighters serving pancakes and sausage, as well as a bake sale. ST. ALPHONSUS PUMPKINFEST AND OKTOBERFEST Oct. 6, St. Alphonsus Catholic Church It’s “all in the family“ as free food and fun are served up in the athletic field and parking lot from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The annual St. Alphonsus Knights of Columbus Oktoberfest for adults only will be held under the big tent at St. Alphonsus Church from 6:30 p.m. until midnight. The traditional Alpine Express Band will perform! The proceeds of this year’s event will be donated to assist the Zionsville Food Pantry, the Caring Center, and the local Knights charities. DO IT AGAIN RECYCLED ART MARKET Nov. 4, SullivanMunce Cultural Center The sixth edition of the Do It Again Recycled Art Market is a one day indoor juried art and fine craft show promoting recycling, reusing and reclaiming of pre- consumer and post-consumer goods. 26 ABOUT TOWN
