SCHOOL DRAMA GROUP AND INCLUSION Summary Drama groups have been identified as good platforms for promoting inclusion. Although the term “inclusion” refers to all students with different needs, this paper focuses on Roma students. 'e first, introductory part of the paper presents children’s living conditions in the school environment, and explains the concepts of integration and inclusion, as well as the frame work of the inclusive culture of our school system. 'e second part of the papered issues the extent to which inclusion is represented in the drama group; it describes the work processes and explores the existence of prejudice about the specific forms of Roma children’s expression that should be affirmed, and which may or may not be seen as forms of their dramatic creativity. 'e paper is based on more than20 years of experience of being a drama group leader, including participation in annual LIDRANO festivals (aimed at promoting literary, drama and journalistic creativity) as well as various projects.
