so we put 70 grams of seeds in one side and 70 grams of crushed cookies the other seeds. 4. Every week we measure the amount of food to know if birds have eaten and which food have they eaten the most. And at the final of this experiment we will know what birds prefer to eat between crushed cookies and linaza seeds. Data Analysis and Conclusions: So the hypothesis we made of our experiment (that birds would prefer to eat the crushed cookies than the linaza seeds) was ........ WRONG!!! Like after the fifth day we went to see the results we found that the birds ate 5 grams less of seeds than the crushed cookies. After this experiment we all know that the birds prefer to eat linaza seeds than crushed cookies. So, you may not believe it but what we are saying is true. We are going to give some basic evidence that will change your mind about not believing us. 1. We put the amount of food equal (so at the end the results would be fair), 70 grams of each and at the end there were 25 gr of seeds and 30 gr of cookies. 2. Like we put the same amount of each food, at the end by just looking at both you could say that there were more seeds than cookies. 3. We did all this experiment with a measuring cup and a balance (but a small one) so we could measure how much it waited in grams. Well we think this experiment got this answers because when we were measuring the food the cookies had some kind of insects (like worms or an undefined insect) and this insect could scare the bird, while the seeds were perfectly CLEAN. The birds preferred not to take a risk and eat more seeds than crushed cookies. Another reason maybe that like it rained the cookies were wet, fluffy (in other words they didn’t look that tasty) but the seeds were in a great state (the only thing was that there were kind of sticky by the rain, but we think they were tasty for the birds). We could improve our experiment by putting walls around the structure so the insects wouldn’t get in and it would be harder for rain to come in (but the walls must be small not big). So this is our report about the experiment we did, we hoped you liked it. Something else we would really like to search about is why birds ate more seeds than cookies, but we can’t know why, if we don’t research and if we don’t put effort and time. Zasqua Jounal 2017 / 17
