experiments What food do birds like most: Seeds, vegetables or fruits? By Lorenzo Suarez, Paulina Espinoza, Laura Galindo y María Gabriella Muñoz In science we are conducting an experiment involving bird feeding, to do this we chose to change the food as a variable and rest the results. Birds are very interesting organisms because they present many adaptations that allow them to survive as well as to be amazing like their feathers that allow them to fly and their beak that allows them to eat without teeth. We want to do this experiment to know which type of food do birds like the most, which can be a very important information when feeding the birds and keeping them healthy and happy. This project is important because we can get to know what type of food do birds in Zasqua like most and we can conclude very important information about this habitat and its interaction like the role of bird’ food in the ecosystem. We know that the type of food can affect the ecosystem by helping or not helping the nutrition of the birds, because if birds have better nutrition the population grows 10 / Zasqua Jounal 2017 and the predators have more food also it can damage the nutrition and the population may decrease, leaving the predators with less food. Plus, it can affect the birds anemic state and affect their behavior. We want to work with is variable because it can be very significant in the birds’ life and can affect many things that surround them. Additionally, if birds have a better nutrition they will have a better and more pleasant life. We wanted to find out what birds Data Table prefer in terms of alimentation: seeds, vegetables or fruits. Question: What food do birds like most: Seeds, vegetables of fruits? Hypothesis: If we give seeds, vegetables and fruits, then birds would prefer fruits and then seeds instead of vegetables because they are easier to eat and have a more powerful odor.
