STRATEGIC GOAL ONE:
By 2019 the YWCA is the leading advocacy
organisation for young women in SA.
Globally, two YWCA
Adelaide Members were
part of the YWCA Australia
delegation to the United
Nations Commission on
the Status of Women in
New York: Claire Tatyzo
and Nicole Swaine. Claire
also represented YWCA
Australia in Bangkok at
the UN’s Asia and Pacific
Conference on Gender
Equality and Women’s
Empowerment.
Nationally, Claire was
among a group of young
YWCA women who
presented the findings of
YWCA’s first national She
Speaks Survey in a series
of meetings with Federal
MPs in Canberra. Started
here at YWCA Adelaide in
8
2011, we are tremendously
proud and excited to see
She Speaks develop into a
signature national YWCA
project.

women’s safety working
at events and festivals.
