SHE Meets Social Sessions
Our Members told us that as well as the range of professional development
opportunities we offer, they are also interested in a more social and fun
outlet. We listened to our Members, and this year proudly launched SHE
Meets Social Sessions. The new initiative attracted Office for Youth funding
to secure the development and delivery of SHE Meets in its first year.
SHE Meets Social Sessions are delivered by young women for young women
providing a social outlet for like-minded young women to come together
and set the agenda for fun events. SHE Meets Social Sessions are for YWCA
of Adelaide Members, but non-Members can come along to see if they
enjoy it.
Since launching in early 2014 SHE Meets Social Sessions have gathered for a
Fringe Festival outing and delivered a powerful Speed Mentoring event with
inspiring women in leadership. A Steering Committee has been established
providing event and leadership development opportunities, with an
ongoing schedule of SHE Meets Social Sessions planned for the future.
