To mark World YWCA Day with the Round the World Breakfast YWCA
Adelaide took to Whitemore Square in the city and held a garden party
themed event featuring guest speakers, garden party games, children’s
activities, and a raffle.
The sold out event of more than 80 people raised money for a member-led
initiative called A Seat at the Table, ensuring a table of tickets are bought
for the Plan International Day of the Girl Breakfast in 2014 and the UN
Women International Women’s Day Breakfast in 2015. These seats at the
table are reserved for public school girls, selected through application, to
expose a new generation of girls to these globally-connected experiences.
