PRESIDENT REPORT
NICOLE SWAINE
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to YWCA Adelaide’s 2013/2014
Annual Report. It has been a year of success for the team and has seen us
achieve the ambitious goals we set ourselves in our strategic plan which
was developed in 2012 to drive the path forward.
Our strategy towards 2015 aims to make the YWCA a more sustainable and
capable organisation that is at the forefront of providing leadership
pathways for girls and young women from primary school through to the
boardroom.
The most significant achievements this year included our growth in
membership, our expanded media profile, the delivery of successful events
for members and broader engagement in the community such as SHE
Votes. Our programs continue to expand their reach and we have found
new ways to support members engage in governance development such
as the introduction of the Board intern position and the establishment of a
nominations committee.
