ABORIGINAL WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP
PROGRAM
Program content was informed by a “Yarning Group” of young women who
formed a consultation and advisory group to ensure the content was
appropriate and meaningful.
5 week workshops were then held at Tauondi College (Port Adelaide) and
at Northern Connections (Elizabeth). At the conclusion of these workshops a
community forum was held at Tauondi College which invited participants,
their family and friends and community stakeholders along to workshop
ideas around Aboriginal women’s leadership and celebrate the
achievement of participants.
Additional day workshops were also held in Port Lincoln (over 2 days) and in
Adelaide’s southern region. The workshop in the south was aimed at high
school students and was attended by representatives from 4 local schools.
