Thank you for committing to make a preparation for Yud Shvat this year by participating in the Lamplighters community learning ! You will find several leveled resources included in this booklet to enjoy with your child ( ren ). Please use the guide below to plan your learning . Every parent and child that completes ALL of the items in a level will be invited to a special Yud Shvat event !
Level 1 —( approx . 4-6-yrs old ) ʌʌ
Show the pictures of the “ Basi L ’ Gani Simplified ” and have a discussion with your child about what they mean ʌʌ Give tzedakah to one of the Rebbe ’ s mosdos ʌʌ Purchase a yahrzeit licht to light on Yud Shvat ʌʌ
Make a Hachlata to strengthen oneself in one of the Rebbe ’ s directives
Level 2 —( approx . 1st through 3rd grade ) ʌʌ
Read “ Basi L ’ Gani Simplified ” ( at least in English ) together and have a discussion with your child about its meaning ʌʌ Read several passages of “ To Live and Learn ” together ʌʌ
Give tzedakah to one of the Rebbe ’ s mosdos
