Results of the project implementation and their use: The project increased the awareness of young people aged 12-25 on the importance of the European Institutions and on the political processes at the European Union level with an emphasis on the European Elections of 2014. Furthermore the project strengthened the European consciousness among the current generation of young people and will determine them to act more responsible with regard to the elective processes and participation in other civic actions. Through the organization of the seminars “What is the European Union and What is the Role of the European Parliament?” a number of 360 youngsters aged 12-25 from the 6 Counties in the Center Region were informed on the role of the European Parliament, on the importance of the European decision-making process and on the European Elections. A total number of 12 seminars were organized, 2 in each County of the Center Region. Through the organization of the public Cafés a number of 180 youngsters aged 12-25 discussed on matters related to the European Union and had their chance to express their ideas with regard to the European Citizenship, discussed with experts in the field of European Affairs and found out more information on the role of the European Institutions and especially on the role of the Members of the European Parliament. A total number of 12 public Cafés were organized, 2 in each County. Through the Study Visit planned at the end of the project a number of 12 people (the 7 members of the Management team and the 5 winners of the Competition “Promoting European Parliament”) had the chance to visit the European Institutions (European Parliament, European Commission, European Council) and to discuss matters related to the EU with specialists and experts in the field of EU affairs such as: MEPs, MEP Assistants, European Functionaries, Lobbyists, Representatives from the Member States’ Embassies, NGO Representatives etc. Through the Simulation exercise of the European decision-making processes a number of 30 students from each University were informed with regard to the activities of the European Institutions and understood the role of the MEPs and of the Ministers in the European legislative process. Furthermore they became aware of the importance of the European elections for the citizens of the European Union. A total number of 180 students were involved from the 6 cities in the Center Region: Alba, Sibiu, Brasov, Mures, Covasna and Harghita. The local communities of the 6 cities in the Center Region also benefited indirectly from the activities
