As I did not want to play a role and continue that tradition of studying of something that I do not really like, I walked the path of private education and I found myself now as a student of a British university, studying a course that I really like and an area where I can be productive in the future. The right of free education links to the next one I would like to discuss, which is the right of work under the proper circumstances. When young people are studying a topic that they did not want it from the first place, they might not care about the situation at their work place after their graduation. Greek nation has its own public insurance system, which is a gift but also a curse at the same time. As long as it is cheaper than I private one it is available to everyone but while the economic system of the country is ready to collapse, the insurances and retirement salaries are ready to follow the same destiny. As a result, education and work places are part of the same sick system that in theory is not of the best for the citizens but in reality cannot be worse. As the title says, I and many compatriots have decided to leave Greece and seek a better future away of our home land. We consider ourselves with a home country. We are able to watch Greece from outside with one unique way, as its children but also as foreigners. Believe me, that is a very dreadful situation to watch. Kids who have stopped dreaming about bright future, older people living a life that they have not imagined to be that bad and us, us who have “forced” to leave and escape from that misery. The purpose of this article is to show how we feel about our county but more importantly how we see it outside its borders. We could be charged for not staying in Greece and trying to change the situation but the only certain thing is that we still care about Greece. Everyone wants to see such a beautiful county stands on its feet again and move forward. Vasileios Koukoulis, Leeds Metropolitan University, International tourism management undergraduate student
