Greece as part of western civilization is considered that is a country where the kids growing with at least the basic rights guaranteed. Unfortunately, this is far from the reality. Allow me talk about my story. As teenager, I had the dreams about becoming a pro athlete, making history and achieving notable things as part of Greece’s sport community. Because of the reasons that are not needed to be mentioned, I ended being an average student and athlete with only target to get a place in one Greek university and without a career before even started. You see, the script goes like that, if you can’t separate yourself from the rest you must follow the path alongside with them. Education supposed to be free in Greece but young people usually do not have the ability of choice because the way of the qualification system works. So either students end up to universities that they do not like or either they choose the way of private education in order to study the topic of their desire. In other words the right of free education is not a reality or if people want to believe that it is, it does not work as it should be.
