Cracks in the Wall

You pricked me with your hatred for life,
allowing your illusion to enclose my mind.
I found comfort in the drafty hole in your chest,
I settled in, started to cover the cracks in the walls
with all the flowers I could pick.
I watched as they grew up the pane,
I tried to fill the room,
but you liked the space.
At first, you liked the flowers,
but as they grew, you drank their light,
and eventually they fell to the ground
just like so many others.
