Welcome to my Day of Disasters
Your heart steers clear and
Mine moves faster.
A soft icy layer covers your intentions and my eyes are blind
seeing nothing but the sparks and tensions.
My laugh echoes in your empty cave
The darkness comes to save me.
Your artificial light was burning me like a candle, flickering
bright until it was what I couldn’t handle.
Walking along seeing the signs in red dripping down the walls
Telling me to run or die instead.
The voices are getting near, some screaming to steer clear.
Fear drips down my forehead and sadness drips down my
cheeks.
The voices telling me to rest in my deathbed and the smell of
giving up starts to reek.
Today is the day of disasters when my heart steers clear
Yours moves faster.
Let me escape and let me be free, I know who you are and
you don’t want me.
My legs lead me farther moving as fast as they can.
I can hear you screaming, “Wait, I’m your biggest fan”
My head leads me farther but my heart keeps moving back.
“Don’t worry, my friend.”
“But isn’t this all an act?”
Give me the key and let me be free, I start screaming into
eternity.
This is the end of the day, no more disasters.
My heart steers clear
My mind moves faster.
The inspirations rhythm speaks to me soft and slow.
“This is your cave and you control the flow.”
The dripping words no longer scare me and I use the voices
as motivation.
This is my head and I’m the master.
Welcome, everybody, to my Day of Disasters.
