St Thomas’ Hospital, but has also pledged to leave
a donation in her will. She tells us why…
‘I’m very privileged to do my job. The children I care for will be patients
for life. On a daily basis I share the rollercoaster of transplantation with the
children and their families.
‘I try my best to raise as much money as I can, doing crazy things like
abseiling down the side of St Thomas’ Hospital, dressed as a penguin! I want
to help get our Evelina London VIPs – which means Very Important People,
Patients and Penguins (our transplant clinic is in the Penguin zone of our
hospital) to the British Transplant Games each year.
‘The Transplant Games are the highlight of our year! Getting fit after
transplant surgery is really important and the Games allow our children to
compete in both fun and serious sport. They support the children, their siblings
and parents, helping our children reach their potential in life.
‘Another way I’ve chosen to support my hospital is through leaving a £5,000
gift in my will. I’m doing this to support the hospital because I care so much
about our transplant patients and it’s just another way I can continue to support
them in the future.
‘I really recommend using the Free
