Has the season finished or started?
With the wrap around seasons on both tours offering
nonstop golf to watch throughout the year everything
can seemingly blend into what seems like a never
ending cycle of golf, but 2015 does have to come to
an end, and we thought we best take a look back at
the highs and lows with our 2015 season review and
get you ready for the final years highlight… Christmas!
Yes it’s upon us already and for those of you that
haven’t asked Santa Claus for your presents yet (or
bought them!) we have our top golfing picks for gifts
in the Your Golf Gear section. No matter what budget
you’re working to there is something for everyone.
The European Tour came to a close with Rory pipping
Danny Willett for a spot atop of the Race to Dubai
rankings on the final weekend, but for us it was
watching the performance of Matthew Fitzpatrick
that made the viewing even more interesting as he
picked up yet another top ten finish in his rookie
season. We caught up with Matthew and gathered
his thoughts on his first year on the tour, his maiden
victory and how he has settled in to life as European
Tour Pro. Read more on page 42
We know it gets a bit gloomy out on the course in
our bleak winter months but fear not there are ways
to escape the cold, read more about short or long
haul winter sun in our regular Your Golf Trip features
as we head out to Portugal and Abu Dhabi to ensure
you keep some sun on your face and the rain and
snow at bay.
Our regular golfing girls have been jet setting once
again, Anna was at the Race to Dubai and walked
a few holes with Justin Rose, you can read that on
page 12 and Melissia is out in the States undertaking
some winter training, she brings us her thoughts on
the way golf is played on the other side of the pond.
As well as all that we have reviews of Srixon’s stylish
Z945 Blades, Bushnell’s Tour X laser rangefinder and
we look at the Cobra King Ltd -the futuristic blast
from the past.
So whether you’re reading this at home or at the club
house there is plenty on offer, grab yourself a mince
