PETERSTONE LAKES eterstone Lakes is a stunning 18 hole golf course set in acres of peaceful Welsh countryside, the course is an excellent flat parkland 6,600 yards par 72 course which deserves its reputation as one of the best around. This place is a great venue to host the final day of any golfing event, its expansive clubhouse overlooking the course is a great 19th hole serving good food and drinks to cater for your eagerly awaited awards ceremony. Although flatter than a number of the courses in the area there are plenty of natural and man-made water hazards to test everyone whether you are a complete beginner or an established player. To complement the course there is a short game practise field, putting green, nets and practise bunkers. The golf shop is well-stocked, friendly and professionally run with golf buggies and trolleys for hire at very competitive rates. In fact the green fees for Peterstone Lakes are ridiculously cheap for a course of such high quality, giving you even more reason to visit! Combine this challenging Golf Course with friendly members and generous Welsh hospitality and you have a great final venue for your weekender. The first hole gives you the first taste of water on the course, although any well struck iron or wood will carry the hazard easily the nerves of standing on the tee with the clubhouse behind can be enough for some golfers to find the wet stuff! The 3rd hole is the first par 5 on the course and the chance to get the driver out and have a good swing, you’ll need to in order to carry the water at around 210 yards. The 12th was our favourite hole and yes, another that includes water, a difficult but picturesque 516yd par 5. Water to the right and thick trees to the left awaits the tee shot onto a narrow fairway.
