There are hundreds of different putters out there on the
market as there are techniques, it is vitally important you
find both technique and the shape of putter that you are
comfortable with.
As with the little chip this department is all about feel and
imagination, neither will be achieved without practice, but
to practice the wrong thing would be a waste of time.
Below I have mentioned a few rudimental guidelines that
you could perhaps build on.
BALL POSITION
You cannot be centimetre perfect but it is advised you place
the ball under your eyes at address and the ball fractionally
forward of centre. The ball being placed here will help
you to hit the ball on a fractionally up ward motion thus
getting top spin, aiding the ball to roll that much better.
ALIGNMENT
Nowadays virtually every body putts with a stiff wrist
action, thus the pendulum comes from the shoulders.
So many people make the mistake of aligning their feet
to the target line and forgetting th
