25 PERFECT READING SPOTS Our campuses have brilliant libraries, but nothing beats soaking up some rays while you study on a sunny day. These are some of our favourite readings spots across the city. Union Canal The canal starts in the city centre but feels miles away from the hustle and bustle of Princes Street. Princes Street Gardens If you want to stay local, pick a tree in Princes Street Gardens and camp out for the day. The Gardens are smack bang in the centre of the city, so you’ll never be far from a coffee to reward your hours of study. The Meadows There is always something happening at the Meadows, and in Summer it’s the best place to feel part of the action, whilst also being productive. Bring some books and a picnic and people-watch the day away. The Counter on the Canal is the perfect secret study café. On a sunny day you (almost) feel like you’re on a yacht in the Mediterranean.
