Why Does Life U Need a
Dedicated Facility?
• Currently, student-athletes must go off campus
for practice, which is unrealistic given current
roster sizes.
• Wrestlers need more mat time. With the men’s
and women’s program having a combined roster of
nearly 100 wrestlers by next year, access to a mat
between 6:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. is important. Due
to class schedules, coaches arrange individual and
makeup sessions for student-athletes when class
schedules permit.
• A dedicated facility is integral to recruiting
student-athletes. The Mid-South Conference is
the top wrestling conference in the country. Life U
is the only university without a dedicated wrestling
facility. The University fights for the same
recruits, and facilities are important to potential
student-athletes.

“My team is my family away from home — my
sisters who I’ll always be there for, and
they’ll always be there for me. What made
the bond was the countless number of
hours we all spent in the wrestling room.
But wrestling is only half of our experience
at Life University, and this team helps each
other strive for success in everything we do.”
— Jennifer Juarez

“Wrestling at Life University has
given me the opportunity to
become a better version of myself.
It feels good to know that I’m a part
of a wrestling family that has the
same vision as me.”
