Hosting
All our host families are either voluntary or receive a contribution for hosting. They
open their homes and hearts because they are keen to ‘adopt’ a son or daughter
from another country and share and learn about each others’ culture.
Experienced and prepared
Many of our host families have hosted exchange students before, so they are very
familiar with our exchange programme and able to make you feel comfortable right
away. Some of them host a student every year and talk about their ‘sons and
daughters’ around the world. We also ensure that host families are well prepared
before you arrive.
From the everyday routines to special occasions, living with a host family will
give you a unique insight into life in your chosen destination and mean that
you gain another family across the world who you will keep in touch with for
years to come.
Your host family will be your main support while you are on exchange, helping
you integrate into their family and wider community. They will also be excited
to learn all about your family and lifestyle back home.
