s a career
diplomat, Angie Bryan is used to creating new
social circles from scratch. After serving for 26
years in the Middle East, South Asia, and Europe,
she now resides in Portland, Maine, where she is
using her experience to write a book on making
friends later in life.
Her writing has been
published over a dozen in times in The Foreign
Service Journal, and she is currently the primary
cocktail bar reviewer for weekly publication Maine
Today. (Yes, she actually found a way in retirement
to get paid for drinking, judging people, and
writing about it.) She is also on the Board of
Trustees for Portland Stage and a member of
Portland Sunrise Rotary Club."
