“If there’s anything we want the girls to walk
away with, it’s to ‘be you’,” says Porsha. With
so much peer pressure around teenagers, it’s
easy for any child to get lost in the
weeds, forgetting the things that
make them special and unique.
“Do what makes you shine, and
just go for it!”
“If there’s
Porsha also reminds us that it’s the
small things that count. “Getting
contacted by organizations out of
the blue, or overhearing somebody
say, ‘Oh, BePolished? I’ve heard of
them,’ are the rewarding moments
make it count.” But for her, the
most rewarding part of it all, is
simply seeing the smile and glow
on the girls’ faces.
It’s what
reminds Porsha and Rasha as they
watch their girls interact like
sisters, that, in Porsha’s words,
“they’ve done it.”

continue convincing young girls to just “be
you.” And most importantly, to “be polished.”
