native, Abby Charles,
founded Bene Caribe,
an ethical fashion brand,
to make a difference in
the Caribbean fashion
community and to
highlight the good in
the Caribbean diaspora
through fashion. Bene
Caribe’s pieces are
designed with the global
citizen and international
explorer who has a
humble appreciation for
different global cultures
in mind.
Through vibrant pieces,
and traditionally printed
batiks made in Trinidad
and Tobago, Bene
Caribe aims to share
the passion, warmth,
camaraderie, flavors,
vibrancy, and rhythm of
the Caribbean people
and the waters, sun,
forests and flora of the
Caribbean environment.
Striving to be as low-
waste as possible, Bene
Caribe works with other
fresh local and Caribbean
designers to produce
high quality, innovative
products using the ends
of fabrics from their
clothing. In addition,
the brand uses recycled
plastics and other
materials in some of their
products.
