Message from the Himalayas This world has been very kind to all of us. Our body, our solar system, our planet – everything within us and around us is a miracle. We need to take some time out and observe it. At least just once in our life. Give it a day. Give it a week. Trust me; your life will change if you witness the miracle. In ancient times, people would chant the name of God, the mantras that opened portals to the inner space, served the temple, and considered whatever they ate as a miracle. Every breath that they took was synchronized with a mantra. The rituals of Yoga, Ayurveda & Reiki was not a small part of their daily routine. Instead, it was the whole and sole. Their very life was Yogic. Every breath, every meal, every prayer, every conversation, every hobby was Yogic. India thousands of years back was swarming with sages and seers thus. Even the common man had a Yogic life. Today, it is di erent. Mobile phones, cameras, screens, social media, cars and shopping malls have taken over. We don’t walk, we take the elevator. We need to walk, climb, trek mountains, swim, play outdoor sports, practice dhyana, attend festivals, maintain a healthy & strict diet, play with our children – do all those things that can keep us physically and mentally rejuvenated. We need to start living our life in a state of total awareness. In the life of a human being ensconced in mental conundrum, it is pertinent to follow your heart that cries for wisdom and tells you the truth of the situation you are into. Like a mirror it reflects the myriad of thoughts and thought led actions followed by results and then result led thoughts followed by actions - it is an unending net in which we have got entwined. A philosophy which tells us that instead of following our mind like a servant, we must rather command it. If we continue to flow with the ever flowing mind, then we are already in nirvana. The question is, are we? Is there an iota of peace or bliss? If no, then it means we have to change the scenario, and take the bull (mind) by its horns. Our mind needs to be trained, it needs to be controlled, and commanded. Yoga is the path for this and involves the process that leads to complete control of our own actions, our own life and self.
