Amazing Almond Milk Almonds or Badams are packed with protein, vitamin E, minerals and monounsaturated fats that have been shown to boost heart health. The milk is quite rich with a mild sweet flavour but has a little texture so make sure to blend well and strain using a fine nut milk bag to get a smooth texture. Fresh coconut milk has a creamy texture and natural sweetness. It is a very good substitute for nut milks. It is a good source of potassium, manganese, magnesium, folate, calcium and selenium. 1 cup almonds, soaked and rinsed 4 cups filtered water Put the almonds along with 2 cups of water in a blender. Blend on high speed for a few minutes, until they form a smooth paste. Add the remaining 2 cups of water and blend again. Strain using a nut milk bag. RAW RASOI TIPS Almond milk can be easily made in a slow juicer as well. Put the ingredients through the juicer, and it’s done. Strain with a sieve if required.
