Amazing Almond Milk
Almonds or Badams are packed with
protein, vitamin E, minerals and
monounsaturated fats that have been
shown to boost heart health. The milk is
quite rich with a mild sweet flavour but
has a little texture so make sure to
blend well and strain using a fine nut
milk bag to get a smooth texture.
Fresh coconut milk has a
creamy texture and natural
sweetness. It is a very good
substitute for nut milks. It is a
good source of potassium,
manganese, magnesium, folate,
calcium and selenium.
1 cup almonds, soaked and rinsed
4 cups filtered water
Put the almonds along with 2 cups of
water in a blender. Blend on high speed

smooth paste.
Add the remaining 2 cups of water and
blend again.

RAW RASOI TIPS
Almond milk can be easily made in a
slow juicer as well. Put the ingredients
through the juicer, and it’s done. Strain
with a sieve if required.

RAW RASOI TIPS
You can break open a fresh coconut with
water into two halves. Then grate each
half with a hand grater or else remove
the outer hard brown shell and cut it into
small pieces. This is a bit of a time-
consuming process but worth the effort.
