SPIRITUALITY The regular practice of meditation balances our chakras and pancha kosha, stabilizes our body and mind, heals us at a physical, psychological, aural and intellectual level, completely relieves us from stress, and takes us from mind control in level one to complete awareness of the self. This step-by-step method involves the journey of the consciousness of our soul, a journey that makes the life of a human being a success, a journey that ascends us from our philosophy of materialism, mortality and pathos to the practical realization of all that exists, a state in which there is complete peace. A state in which even while performing an action, we are always fully aware and functioning in sync with our inner self and the cosmic consciousness. In other words, every karma or action becomes fully conscious and hence blissful. But there are a lot of experiences on the way to this state. This is a journey, a step-by- step method, and we need to start from our present level. us, every movement of prana/impulse, of our breath. Try to find that state, that space within where silence resides. In order to unravel the complete truth, one needs to enter the subtle world of consciousness through meditation. When we meditate, we go through this process of moving from the inert to the subtle, from the subtle to the subtler, and from the subtler to the subtlest. This process is a journey – the journey of the consciousness of our soul from darkness to light and from instability to a state of complete peace and bliss. Our mind too, uses up the energy of our soul and it is through the very mind and the sense organs that the conscious energy of the soul flows outwards into the external world – a world that is gross, perishable, inert, subject to change and does not promise stability and peace. The external world is based on dualism. In order to attain complete freedom from this cycle of instability, lack of peace, duality and distress, we need to undergo a step-by-step transformation method, a method that ultimately takes us to a state of bliss. Almost everybody can try to meditate on their own by closing their eyes and trying to relax in the darkness inside. 32 www.yogicherald.com Apr./May 2019 Yoga stabilizes our mind. Only a practitioner of Yoga sadhana can understand how unstable the mind is. As the practice happens on a regular basis, several experiences and changes occur. We are filled with joy, peace, stability, great virtues and a lot more. Today in my life, the cup is empty, the void is infinite, the nectarial word keeps dropping, and I am all bliss. Nothing is more beautiful than the void that I experience every day. In this void, there
