YEO Bios Faith Winter State Representative Westminster, Colorado State Representative Faith Winter was previously the mayor pro tem of Westminster, Colorado and the program director for Colorado Conservation Voters. Winter has spent her career inspiring people to action, training thousands of women to run for office at the White House Project, and engaging her constituents on important issues facing Westminster. In 2004, the Youth Vote Coalition named her one of 30 people under 30 showing political leadership. In 2008, she was named one of the 10 most influential women in Denver by the Denver Examiner, and in 2010 she was named woman of the year by Colorado Business and Professional Women - Northwest Chapter. She is currently the executive director for Emerge Colorado. Winter loves organizing because she believes the best way to create change is by building power through people. @FaithKWinter Anna Wishart Airport Authority Board Member Lincoln, Nebraska Clean Energy & Environmental Justice Policy Academy | 2016 52 Anna Wishart was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska and serves as chair of the Lincoln Airport Authority. She previously served as a legislative aide to state Senator Rick Kolowski and Senator Ken Haar. Wishart is also the spokesperson for Let’s Move Lincoln, an initiative to solve childhood obesity and is the chair of Bootstraps and Beyond, a re-entry program for ex-convicts and former addicts. Wishart and her husband, Lincoln Police Officer Joe Coleman, are foster parents and just finished fostering a sevenmonth-old baby. They plan on continuing to foster in the future. She vows to be a strong advocate for sustainability. Michael Wojcik City Councilmember Rochester, Minnesota Michael Wojcik is a city councilmember in Rochester. Wojcik has served on the NLC Board of Directors, as chair of the NLC Community & Economic Development Board, and as a technical expert on revitalizing suburban corridors for ULI. Wojcik serves as a director at Rochester Public Utilities, where he has helped stop coal burning in the city and aims to eliminate coal from its portfolio by 2031. Wojcik serves on committees addressing energy, sustainability, transportation, affordable housing, local art, and homeless youth. He is married with two daughters and his family is hosting a foreign exchange student. A small business owner, Wojcik holds master’s degrees in electrical engineering and business administration.
