Detailed Agenda SATURDAY » FEBRUARY 20, 2016 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM BREAKFAST PLENARY YEO LEADERSHIP ON CLEAN ENERGY In this panel current and former young elected officials will present on recent successes for YEO leadership on clean energy, including YEO involvement at the UN climate conferences and a report back from the historic talks in Paris, Elected Officials to Protect New York, and the Clean Power Plan, as well as how YEOs can promote clean energy in the states in 2016. Alex Cornell du Houx Former Maine State Representative Alex Cornell du Houx has worked with state lawmakers for over eight years. Last legislative session he flew to a different state capitol just about every other week to train and work with lawmakers on how to communicate on environmental issues effectively. He won the best Public Affairs Campaign for his work founding Operation Free, a coalition of veterans, including lawmakers, who are promoting clean energy policies. He conducts similar trainings for the U.S. Navy, Veterans Campaign, and New Leaders Council from coast to coast. He is a Huffington Post blogger and a public affairs officer in the Navy Reserve.
