Business Entrepreneurial Award Wyebrook Farm receives 2015 Business Entrepreneurial Award The Swedish-American Chamber of CommercePhiladelphia selected Wyebrook Farm to receive its annual business entrepreneurial award. The award was created in 2010 by SACC-Philadelphia. It seeks to recognize companies that have made a significant contribution to the exchange of trade and commerce between Scandinavia and the Philadelphia Region, as well as important contributions towards corporate social responsibility and sustainable business practices. Erwin Apell, SACC Philadelphia Chairman with Dean Carson, Founder of Wyebrook Farm SACC-Philadelphia selected Wyebrook Farm due to its strong commitment to sustainable business practices in the agriculture industry. Wyebrook Farm is located in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania in Chester County. Wyebrook Farm provides an alternative to the industrial food supply by creating a diverse polyculture on the farm. This provides the farm with healthy animals and great food without any use of artificial fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, hormones or antibiotics. Sustainable agriculture is a way of raising food that is healthy for consumers and animals, does not harm the environment, is humane for workers, respects animals, provides a fair wage to the farmer, and supports and enhances rural communities. We are proud to recognize Wyebrook Farm and Dean Carlson, who is of Scandinavian descent, for their commitment to sustainability. We are pleased that Wyebrook Farm is located in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area and wish the Farm continued success.” SACC-Philadelphia presented its award to Wyebrook Farm at its annual Glögg Holiday Mixer held at Freeman’s Auction House. The event was attended by over 45 guests. The award was accepted on behalf of Wyebrook Farm by entrepreneur and owner of Wyebrook Farm, Dean Carlson.
