Sweden Day
On November 19th, 2015, SACC-Philadelphia welcomed guests to Cira Centre, Philadelphia to the first
ever Sweden Day of Philadelphia. The event celebrated and discussed Corporate Social Responsibility an activity where Sweden is leading the charge. It featured keynote speakers Per Heggenes, CEO, IKEA
Foundation as well as Deputy Mayor Alan Greenberger. It also included a panel discussion with keynote
speaker Per Heggenes and Amy Bellcourt, VP Communications, SCA, Gunilla Girardo, CEO, the Mentor
Foundation and Lars Björk, CEO, Qlik.
It was a wonderful event and the event was attended by 60 guests who were able to network and enjoy
Swedish food and beverages from FIKA NYC - a Swedish coffee company that currently has 17 locations
in New York City. FIKA NYC offers Swedish traditional and handmade food, all while sourcing their produts
as well as interior design locally.
A special thank you to SCA Americas who hosted this wonderful event and also a big thank you to our
keynote speakers, panelists and the Swedish Honorary Consul, Ulf Åkerblom.
