SACC SUMMIT, OCTOBER 2014
This year’s SACC Summit was hosted in the beautiful House of Sweden in Washington D.C. This year’s theme
was “World-Class,” and its underlying question was: how we can make the SACC network a World-Class organization tailored to the 21st century? The first day was an open event, where attendees had the opportunity
and privilege to listen to Peter Carlsson, Vice President of Tesla Motors, talking about Tesla Motor’s drive to
become a World-Class Organization. The keynote presentation was followed by a panel discussion between
Peter Carlsson (Tesla Motors), Lars H. Thunell (former CEO and vice chairman of IFC, the commercial arm of
the World Bank) and Anders Hoberg (General Manager at Atlas Copco Tools and Assembly Systems, North
America). The day ended with a wonderful dinner reception hosted by H.E. Ambassador Björn Lyrvall at his
residence. n

SCANDINAVIAN HOCKEY NIGHT, NOVEMBER 4 2014
SACC-Philadelphia partnered up with the Finnish-American Society of
Delaware (FASD) for this years Scandinavian Hockey Night. We would
like to thank everyone that attended the second annual Scandinavian
Hockey Night and rooted for the Flyers! This was truly a great evening
consisting of a pre-game mingle where indivuduals from both SACC
and FASD had the chance to get to know each other, a 4-1 win against
the Edmonton Oilers and a meet-and-greet with legendary player Kimmo Timonen. We hope to see you next year! n
