EVENTS EVENTS Looking Back MARCH 20, 2014: Vodka Tasting Business Mixer SACC-Philadelphia, in collaboration with the Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce, hosted a Vodka Tasting Business Mixer at the Racquet Club of Philadelphia. The event included good tasting vodka, delicious cocktails and an award ceremony. SACC-Philadelphia partnered up with Bertelsmann Foundation and the Philadelphia Chapter of the German-American Chamber of Commerce for a breakfast discussion highlighting the benefits, obstacles, solutions and challenges of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) and its potential impact on Philadelphia and across Pennsylvania. APRIL 9, 2014: YPN Social Event INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS NETWORKING RECEPTION, JULY 23, 2014 This summer’s most important business happening took place on July 23 at Hyatt at the Bellevue in midtown Philadelphia. The Summer 2014 International Business Networking Reception, hosted by the Chilean and American Chamber of Commerce, co-sponsored by SACC-Philadelphia, brought together the region’s bilateral chambers of commerce and consular corporations to discuss the area’s economic growth and plans for continued progress. Featured speaker Alan Greenberger, Deputy Mayor of Planning and Economic Development of Philadelphia, gave insightful information how the city has become a top U.S. destination for foreign direct investment and commercial trade. n NOVEMBER 4, 2014: Scandinavian Hockey Night Read on page 29.
