SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES
SACC-Philadelphia offers a number of benefits to
its members. In additionthe numerous networking
and social events during the year members also enjoy the magazines “Currents”, distributed by SACCUSA, and SACC-Philadelphia s own Update (SPU)
and YIR. All members can access SACC-Philadelphia’s
communication channels through our newsletters
and an extensive network. SACC-Philadelphia also
providesthe unique opportunity to interact with
other Swedish organizations in the Philadelphia
area; merican Swedish Historical Museum, Swedish Women’s Educational Association, Kalmar Nyckel
Foundation, VASA Order of America, Old Swedes
Church and Swedish related companies such as
IKEA, SKF, Skanska Construction, Alfa Laval, SCA and
H&M. Many of these companies have co-sposored
business events in the past and will continue to participate with SACC-Philadelphia for future events.
There are many benefits to being a member of SACCPhiladelphia. There are networking possibilities in
a relaxing setting, access to and discounted fees to
all our events such as the E-days held yearly in Sweden and USA. Other perks are getting the magazines Currents, YIR and SPU as well as recieving communication opportunities through our newsletter.
All members are also invited to the big networking Edays event, held annually in the US as well as in Sweden. All members are offered support by the SACC
office for all kinds of requests.The staff duties are
aimed at helping to meet the needs of our members.
The young Professional Network set up by SACCPhiladelphia aims to be both a social oganization that can provide new friends and contacts,
and one offering interesting career opptunities
by connecting students, resent graduates and
young professionals with prospective employers.
SACC-Philadelphia has unique connections and networks both in Sweden and in Greater Philadelphia
region, and is therefore in a great position to help
companies. These connections can assist and support
companies pursuing business and help raise their profile in the Greater Philadelphia region or in Sweden.

During 2011 SACC-Philadelphia was honored to accept a
number of new members. Each member is important to
the chamber as he or she bring in knowledge, experience
and new opportunities. With every new member, the
benefits and networking possibilities increase and this is
why we work hard to increasing the number of both corporate and individual members.
SACC-Philadelphia publishes and sends out its SPU to
all members each year. This semi-annual magazine provides an overview of SACC-Philadelphia’s members and
social and business networking events during the year.
The SPU also includes feature stories on notable mebers or famous people who have supported or spoken
at SACC events. SPU has collaborated with Swedish Wire
and published some of their online content in the paper.
Young Professionals
The YPN meetings are held on a regular basis and range
from very casual business mingles to structured events,
featuring speakers on a broad range of topics from different companies. Our main target group is those who
have an interest in promoting business between Sweden
and America or have ties to the Scandinavian community, but is not an exclusively Scandinavian group. More
important than background or business relations, the
Young Professionals network is open for any driven individual who seeks to extend his network learn more about
interesting career opportunities and have a good time.
As a member of our YPN you will be a part of, and get
access to, our extensive local network, be invited to all
our events, get membership discounts and many other
benefits.
