l YEAR IN REVIEW 2010 l QLIKTECH BUSINESS MIXER WARWICK HOTEL March 18th An enthusiatic crowd listening to Lars Björk, CEO QlikTech SACC-Philadelphia hosted a business mixer in cooperation with its largest member company – the Swedish business intelligence company QlikTech at the Warwick Hotel in Philadelphia. David Engstrom introduced the guest speaker, Lars Björk, CEO and founder of QlikTech, who gave a very inspiring and informative speech about the history of the company and the fact that companies today are drowning in data and how their flagship product QlikView can solve this problem. SUCCESSFUL SUSTAINABILITY l AMERICAN-SWEDISH HISTORICAL MUSEUM April 14th SACC Philadelphia hosted a panel discussion and business mixer about green buildings and sustainable building practices. Guest speakers were Phyllis Barberfrom Sustainable Pittsburgh, Lars Roth from the Swedish Embassy, Ezra Small from The Delaware Valley Green Building Council and Alex Dews from the City of Philadelphia. The event was very successful, and many people enjoyed the speakers and that they spoke on different aspects of sustainability. Thanks also to Finlandia for sponsoring this event. SWEDISH GOLF OUTING PAXON HOLLOW COUNTRY CLUB May 26th Attendees mingling before the guest speakers starts Early afternoon on the 26th of May, the first foursome entered the first tee at the Paxon Hollow Country Club outside Philadelphia. This year the German-American Chamber of Commerce and the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in Philadelphia teamed up together to hold the annual Swedish Golf outing. Around 90 guest came to enjoy the day and play golf. Later on dinner was served and the winners of the day were presented as well as the winners of our several other contests that appeared along the course. The day concluded with a raffle and an auction, after which everybody went home with smiles upon their faces for having a good time at the Paxon Hollow Country Club.
