Midsummer Golf Outing – Kimberton Golf
Course June 18th
The Midsummer Golf Outing at Kimberton Golf Club in
beautiful Chester County was another great success even with the
slight rain shower. It was co-sponsored by our friends in the
German-American Chamber of Commerce.
This year we had 56 golfers for a shotgun start with a Texas
Scramble format. To make sure the golfers were properly
hydrated, beer and water was served with help from Daniel Bik
from SACC, and Barbara, Anika and Jana from the GermanAmerican Chamber of Commerce.
After about four hours and some six thousand yards of graceful
and fun-filled golf, everyone was invited to a picnic which
offered great food, a wide range of prizes and raffle items.
Crayfish Party – IKEA July 16th
For the first time, SAAC-Philadelphia organized a crayfish party
at the IKEA store in Philadelphia. IKEA provided the facilities
and the food. The goal of 125 sold tickets through SAAC was
exceeded by 15. This reasonably priced event was also open to
the public. The food and display were outstanding. Absolut
Vodka did a presentation of a new product, as did a local beer
