MOISTURE SURGE

Tis the season for raindrops and snow flurries , which leave streets glistening in a magical star like wonder . With the crispness of changing seasons , we are touched by the bitterness of Jack Frost who strips our skin and chaps our lips . The winter months welcome us with dry , itchy and sometimes cracked skin , which is craving hydration and a surge of moisture .
I am quickly creeping upon the half century mark , which is mind boggling , because my brain feels 25 , while my body seems to have aches that I never felt before and those sleep lines , now seem to take forever to rebound . You know , the lines that are left when you lie on your side and snuggle just a bit too deeply into your pillow . You awaken and discover lovely indentations on your cheek and forehead . In my 20s , they were gone almost instantly and now those lines seem to have become a commitment that I just can ’ t break !
I am an official skincare junkie and this was ingrained into me at the young age of 12 , as I grew up with an organic , herbal , vitamin , skincare hippy of a mother . My mother was green before it was even a term and she has been bringing holistic living into my world , way before it was a part of the trend train . I was the kid whose mother rinsed out Ziploc bags and hung them in the kitchen window to dry , to save the earth . I cringed when friends came over to see my green living , but I am now thankful for all that my mother taught me , even though I thought she was riding the crazy train when I was younger .
At age 12 , she began to insist on sunscreen , exfoliation and lotions and potions . As a teen , she absolutely drove me crazy , but now I owe her a big thank you . I think of her every time someone says , “ How old are you ? What is your skincare regimen ?” or better yet , “ I can ’ t believe you have a 26 year old , I wish my skin looked like yours .” I am not going to lie , these little boosts are sometimes the catalyst that I need when I am exhausted and I just want to skip my evening regimen . Her guru ways have infiltrated my life and now I want share some amazing products with you .
My regimen is from the inside out , I take herbs , use many oils for skincare as well as health and healing . I am a pescatarian , drink plenty of water and I am constantly on the search for holy-grail lotions , potions and technology . I am a big believer of switching things up as I feel that I have better luck
