esidents of Rock Springs, Jamie and Chris
first met in Evanston. “I was a manager at
Walmart on the front end, and Chris worked
for NCR, a company that fixed our registers and
other equipment in the store. When we saw each
other for the first time it was an instant connection –
it was like love at first sight,” Jamie says. They talked
almost daily on the phone and dated five months long
distance before Jamie transferred to the Rock Springs
Walmart to be with Chris.
On October 18, 2014, two and a half years after
they began dating and Jamie’s birthday, Chris proposed while out to dinner at Coyote Creek in Rock
Springs. After eating he made his move. “We were
talking and he told me that I make him very happy.
He pulled out the ring box and opened it and asked
