W Y O M I N G W E D D I N G S F E A T U R E Mike & Riley Written by Kati Hime Photography by Ardent Photography | Kim & Scott R iley, an outdoor-loving resident of Gillette, met Mike, also an outdoor-loving resident of Gillette, twice – the second time, the carrots may have been the kicker. “We met at the Rec Center,” Riley says. “I was working at the front desk and he came in to play racket ball with a friend. I didn’t get to talk to him much then.” It was a couple of months later, though, that Mike happened to come in to Pokey’s BBQ, where Riley was working as a server. “We got to talking while I was cleaning the salad bar, and we hit it off,” Riley says. “We’ve been together ever since.” When Mike proposed, there was again food on the scene. “He proposed over leftover spaghetti at our apartment while I was on a lunch break on a Monday,” Riley laughs. “He’s not the romantic type (hahaha) – but it was perfect!” Riley describes their September 26, 2015 wedding as ‘basic,’ but as I look through Ardent Photography’s images, I’d call the details rustic, fall, Wyoming and perfect.
